ALL Creatures Matter Rescue is here to help small breed dogs in need and ensure they get the care they deserve. We then place them with loving families. There are many animals in the world without homes and millions are killed every year! This is unacceptable. ACM takes in as many dogs as possible who are either on "death row" or relinquished by their owners. They will be housed in a home where they will get individualized attention and care until they are adopted.
The welfare of these animals is of the utmost importance, therefore, an application and references will be required for adoption. All pets will have a non-refundable adoption fee. They will be spayed or neutered, given all shots and tested for heartworm disease before leaving the rescue. In addition, we provide any needed medical attention the animal might need regardless of the costs. No animal will ever be euthanized in this rescue over money or inconvenience!
ACM exists to save the lives of animals in need and depends upon donations, adoptions, and volunteers to exist. We hope you take the time to look at our animals and make a donation of some kind to help those in need.
Fostering animals can be a very rewarding experience. You get the love and companionship of an animal until they are placed with a carefully screened, caring permanent home. You also get the first option of adoption if you find you just cannot part with them. This is so rewarding because you provide a home, care, and comfort to an animal who would otherwise be killed in a shelter somewhere. And that feels wonderful! There is nothing like a rescue dog. It's as if they know they've been saved and they are so grateful and loving. It's quite a wonderful experience. Do you have what it takes to be a foster parent to a needy dog?

IS THIS WORK TOO HARD?
Some days I wonder how I got into this. Dogs running around in all directions, barking, whining, peeing and fighting; giving them one bath after another; separating the alpha males; chasing the one that got loose in the neighborhood and refuses to come! Then there are some who like to chew on things like furniture, books and knick knacks; tearing up every single dog toy and 'de-stuffing' it; carrying laundry, shoes, purses and remote controls into the backyard; jumping on my furniture; soiling their crates; then I'm walking the yard cleaning up all the brown 'presents' they left. It feels like it's almost constant cleaning up after dogs! The carpet cleaner has become a permanent fixture in my living room. And then comes feeding time, major chaos with dogs fighting to get someone else's food before they're locked in their crates to eat in peace. I can't forget about the dog bite that got infected and ran up my medical bills. All the money spent on vet bills, dog food, cleaning products, medicines and various dog supplies is mind boggling! Times like these are frustrating and challenging. One day during such an episode, my daughter looked at me in frustration and said "Is this really worth it?” I hesitated, looked around at them, took a deep breath and said "Yes! Yes, it's worth it. They are alive and happy and that's what matters!" with a smile on my face.
Yes! It is worth it. It may sound rough but it's not so bad considering lives are being saved and dogs are being made healthy and happy. Nothing worth having comes easy and that includes this type of work. But for the first time in my life, I see the reward of a job well done that I think is actually fulfilling. It's a beautiful thing when a sick dog finally gets better and you know he's going to survive; or when one of them looks at you with their sweet eyes, wags their tails and wants nothing more than to give you a wet kiss and let you know they love you.
Yes, they are definitely worth it.
This is Marni. She's about 1 year old and is an Australian Shephard mix. She is just beautiful and so loving. Marni was displaying the symptoms of distemper which can be fatal. She was provided with the best medical care and and is now thriving. Please keep her in your prayers that she finds the perfect home. Candy needs expensive heartworm treatment and the rescue is in need of help. If you can sponsor her it would be a blessing! Meet Zoe. She is a young Chihuahua Dachshund mix affectionately called a "chi-weenie". She is just a darling little girl who was saved from a high kill shelter. She is heartworm positive and needs some expensive medical treatment. We are doing some fundraising in order to provide her with the best care possible. She deserves a chance at life and to be loved. Just look at that little face! She is so cute and the pictures don't do her justice. UPDATE!
Zoey is out of the hospital and doing fine. She had her heartworm treatment and is recouperating nicely. She will have to remain on strict 'bed rest' for another month before being rechecked. Please keep her in your prayers. And a big THANK YOU to all who contributed to her care. You have made a huge difference and helped give this little one a new chance in life.

This little guy was in the hospital for 12 days being treated for Parvo and a severe case on intestinal worms. When he first arrived in the rescue, he was so sick he couldn't stand up. It was so sad. Then he was treated for Sarcoptic mange. This baby has had a rough start in life but the good news is that he's alive! He's doing so well now and growing like a little weed!
He's spunky and playful and grateful to be alive! And he is incredibly SMART! He can sit, lay down, and shake with both paws. I'm sure that's just the beginning. I think this little guy can be taught many things and we're getting to work on that.
We're doing a fundraiser to help offset the vet bills.
We still owe for Spuds' medical costs.

My pets are family. Being with them makes me so happy. I wish that everyone could experience the joy of loving and being loved by an animal. But before you take this on, remember they are a life-long responsibility and make sure you are ready for that commitment. It's not fair to the animal. They get so attached to you and then don't understand why their loved ones have abandoned them. We know that sometimes life circumstances prevent us from keeping a pet so when this happens, we are happy to step in and help the animal make the transition as easy as possible.
